About Benny Agosto
Benny Agosto, Jr. is Managing Partner of Abraham Watkins. Born in New York City and raised in Puerto Rico, he attended Houston Christian University on a soccer scholarship, earned a graduate degree in microbiology from the University of Houston, and received his J.D. from South Texas College of Law Houston in 1995. He is board certified in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Benny's practice focuses on catastrophic injuries, including chemical plant and refinery explosions, workplace accidents, wrongful death, premises liability, and product liability. He served as President of the Hispanic National Bar Association (2011-2012) and President of the Houston Bar Association (2019-2020), the first native Spanish speaker in that role. In 2021, Benny and his wife donated $4 million to South Texas College of Law Houston to establish the Agosto Justice Center for Leadership and Empowerment. He has been named to the Texas Super Lawyers list for over 20 years and named Best Lawyers Product Liability Litigation Plaintiffs Lawyer of the Year in Houston in 2023.
