Jeanmarie Whalen

Jeanmarie Whalen has first-chaired complex injury trials producing more than 40 multi-million-dollar verdicts and settlements, with a docket centered on trucking, rideshare, aviation, and maritime litigation. She helped pioneer the theory that defectively designed mobile apps can qualify as products for strict liability purposes in rideshare distracted-driving cases. Admitted in Florida, New York, and Connecticut, she has served on the American Association for Justice Board of Governors since 2011, chaired the AAJ Trucking Litigation Group, and is chair-elect of its Rideshare Litigation Group. Her honors include Best Lawyers in America, Lawdragon 500, and the 2017 Justice Barbara Pariente Award.
