About Thomas Anapol

Tom Anapol is the Director and Managing Shareholder of Anapol Weiss. He joined the firm as an Associate in 1991, in or about when his father retired. Tom became non-equity partner in 1998 and an equity partner in 2003. He has been the firm's Managing Shareholder since 2019 and is now its director. Mass tort litigation has been Tom's main practice area throughout his career. He has served in various coordinated leadership capacities in state and multidistrict (MDL) medical device litigations including multiple heart device, metal-on-metal hip and transvaginal mesh litigations. As Managing Shareholder, he has led the firm through a transformation from a traditional personal injury and mass torts firm to one that is majority-owned by female attorneys. As of September of 2024, more than half of the firm's shareholders and partners are women. The firm concurrently expanded its historical mass tort medical device and drug litigation practice and now focuses upon representing victims of institutional sex abuse practices. Leadership in the legal industry has been a constant in Tom's career. He has served on the Board of Governors for the Pennsylvania Association for Justice (PAJ) for over 25 years culminating in his service as President in 2016. Tom also served for many years on the Board of Governors for the American Association for Justice (AAJ).
