
About Kayla Coates
Kayla Coates is a Workers' Compensation Associate Attorney at Ankin Law in Chicago. Born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee, she developed her interest in advocacy during her undergraduate studies in Criminal Justice at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. While at Mississippi College School of Law, she participated in clinical courses that included pro bono work in Immigration Law and Veterans Legal Aid, and clerked at a personal injury firm where she worked with injured plaintiffs and their families. At Ankin Law she focuses on representing injured workers, including a recent successful case before the Illinois Workers' Benefit Fund on behalf of an injured lawn-care worker whose employer had no insurance.
