Background
Hannah Bowersmith is a trial attorney at Armstrong Lee & Baker LLP with a distinguished record in trial advocacy. Originally from Discovery Bay, California, she moved to Houston to pursue her legal career and is passionate about zealously advocating for injured clients at every stage of litigation. Bowersmith earned her J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center, where she was inducted into the Order of the Barristers, received the K. Byron McCoy Excellence in Advocacy Award, and competed on the nationally ranked UHLC Mock Trial Team. Her competition accolades include winning the All-Star Bracket Challenge Regional Competition, being named Overall Best Advocate at the Bayou Challenge, taking first place in preliminary rounds at Cross Examination Moot in Paris (quarterfinalist), and winning first place in the Battle of the Bayou young lawyer competition with awards for Outstanding Cross Examination and Overall Outstanding Advocate. She holds two Bachelor of Arts degrees from the University of Hawaii at Manoa in Political Science and Philosophy, where she received the Manoa Political Internships Scholarship and interned at the State of Hawaii Office of the Public Defender. During law school, she served as judicial intern for Hon. Christine Weems (281st Judicial District Court) and Hon. Tanya Garrison (157th Judicial District Court) in Harris County.
