About Marcus Thorpe
Marcus Thorpe is a Personal Injury Attorney at Bader Law and a sitting Associate Magistrate Judge in Clayton County. He earned his B.A. from Washington University in St. Louis and his J.D. from Southern Illinois University School of Law. Admitted to the Georgia bar in 2008, Marcus is also licensed in Indiana, Missouri, and Illinois. He launched his career as a prosecutor in Marion County, Indiana, then gained civil litigation experience in Illinois and Missouri before returning to Georgia. Over 13 years, Marcus served in the Clayton County Solicitor General's Office, the Clayton County District Attorney's Office, the Fulton County District Attorney's Office, and the Henry County District Attorney's Office. He was appointed Associate Magistrate Judge in Clayton County in October 2018 and reappointed in December 2023. Marcus serves as President of the Clayton County Bar Association and is a member of the Georgia Trial Lawyers of America and the Lawyers Club of Atlanta. He has dedicated 15 years to coaching Georgia's High School Mock Trial Competition.
