Matthew Russell

Matthew Russell is an Attorney at BD&J, PC, specializing in cases that involve catastrophic injury, premises liability, toxic torts, medical malpractice, sexual assault, and wrongful death. Matthew has gained a wide variety of experience since he began his legal career in 2013. Matthew grew up in a very violent neighborhood in South Los Angeles. He lost one his brothers in a drive by shooting, and he saw his two other brothers fall victim to gang violence and substance abuse. Despite the trauma and adversity, Matthew became the first person in his family to graduate from high school. Matthew understands the value of providing an opportunity and support to those who do not have the tools and knowledge to help themselves. He is passionate about community empowerment, education, and creating opportunities for young people who face and continue to face the same challenges he did. He is the proud founder of a non-profit, and he volunteers in a wide variety of Los Angeles based charities and nonprofits.
