
About Julie Leary
Julie A. Leary is an attorney at Cannon & Dunphy S.C. focused on personal injury matters.
Leary earned her Juris Doctor cum laude from Marquette University Law School in 2020 and her Bachelor of Arts from the University of North Texas in 2016. In law school she received CALI Awards for the highest grades in Appellate Writing and Advocacy, International Law, Community Economic Development, and Civil Rights, made the Dean's List (Spring and Fall 2019), and was a recipient of the Wisconsin Hispanic Lawyers Association Law Student Scholarship. She competed in the National Appellate Advocacy Competition (2020), where she was named Ninth Best Oralist, and the Jenkins Moot Court Competition (2019). She also served as a research assistant in international law and held leadership positions in the Moot Court Association and Hispanic Law Student Association.
Leary is admitted to the State Bar of Wisconsin. Before joining Cannon & Dunphy in May 2022, she handled matters involving administrative proceedings, employment barriers, municipal and forfeiture defense, and immigration law. She is a member of the Association for Women Lawyers and the Wisconsin Hispanic Lawyers Association.
