Joel Harris

Joel Harris is a Shareholder at Coker Law in Jacksonville, Florida, where he represents seriously injured clients in personal injury, dangerous drug, and product liability cases. He has spent the majority of his 18-plus years in practice as a plaintiffs' trial attorney in the Jacksonville area.

Harris has litigated and settled a number of noteworthy cases, including one resulting in an award of more than $3 million for an accident victim. He has been recognized by Florida Super Lawyers, named a Rising Star in 2021 and elevated to the main Super Lawyers list since 2022.

Before focusing his practice on plaintiffs' personal injury work, Harris worked at Smith Barney and served as in-house counsel for a Fortune 500 company. He earned his B.S. in Finance from Auburn University in 2003 and his J.D. from Florida Coastal School of Law in 2007, where he served as election supervisor for the Student Bar Association and authored the school's inaugural elections code. He is a member of the Florida Justice Association, the Jacksonville Justice Association, and the Jacksonville Bar Association, and is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida.
