Trevor Hawes

Trevor Hawes is a Shareholder at Coker Law in Jacksonville, Florida, where he focuses on personal injury litigation and complex civil trials. He is Board Certified in Civil Trial Law by The Florida Bar, a distinction held by only a small percentage of attorneys statewide.

Before joining Coker Law in February 2023, Hawes spent more than two decades representing insurance carriers and defendants in personal injury matters. That defense-side background informs his approach as a plaintiff's attorney, giving him direct insight into how opposing counsel evaluates, negotiates, and tries cases — perspective he now applies on behalf of injured clients.

Hawes earned his B.S. from Florida State University in 1997 and his J.D. from Nova Southeastern University in 2001. He is admitted to practice in all three federal district courts in Florida as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, and is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA), the Jacksonville Bar Association, and The Florida Bar.
