Background
Daniel J. 'Dan' Christensen is the founder and CEO of DJC Law in Austin, Texas — the largest Austin-based veteran-owned personal injury firm in the state. With nearly 30 years of legal experience, he has tried close to 200 cases in federal and state courts and led DJC Law to recover over $400 million on behalf of injured clients across Texas. Christensen began his career in the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General's Corps at Fort Hood, where he served as both a prosecutor and defense counsel and tried complex cases in military courts. He transitioned to civil practice in Texas, served as Chief of Litigation for a Texas law firm, and led the firm's personal injury division supervising 15–20 trial lawyers before founding DJC Law. He is double board-certified — in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and in Civil Trial Law by the National Board of Trial Advocacy — credentials held by only a small fraction of Texas attorneys. He has been recognized as a Texas Super Lawyer, listed in Best Lawyers in America, and named to the National Trial Lawyers Association's Top 100. He is also a member of the National Association of Distinguished Counsel. Christensen earned his B.B.A. in Finance from the University of Iowa Tippie College of Business and his J.D. from the University of Iowa College of Law. He also serves as an adjunct professor and contributes writing to legal publications. His firm has a reported 99% success rate and has helped thousands of injured clients across nearly 25 years.
