Ruchee J. Patel

Ruchee J. Patel is a criminal defense attorney who joined Donati Law in January 2024 to focus on federal and state criminal defense. She has been practicing law since 2007 and has defended clients against a broad range of charges including drug trafficking, firearms violations, crimes of violence, mail fraud, organized crime, RICO, and white-collar offenses. She is a member of the Criminal Justice Act Panel for the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Tennessee, serving since 2015 (Western Division) and 2017 (Eastern Division). She handles cases through all stages of litigation from arraignment through jury trial. She earned her undergraduate degree in marketing from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and her J.D. from the University of Mississippi School of Law. She is recognized in Super Lawyers Rising Stars, received the Memphis Bar Association's Leadership Forum designation, completed the TACDL Trial College, and was named YMCA of Memphis and Mid-South Volunteer of the Year. She serves on the boards of the Memphis Bar Association, Tennessee Asian Pacific American Bar Association, and Playhouse on the Square.
