Leah Mason

Leah Mason is an attorney at Edelman & Thompson Law Firm in Kansas City. She has over 20 years of experience as in-house counsel for a major insurance company, plus additional litigation experience, giving her a unique perspective on the claims process from the insurance industry's point of view.

Her practice areas include personal injury law, including auto/truck accidents, animal attacks, slip and falls, and wrongful death cases in state and federal courts.

Mason earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Kansas School of Law in 1990 and her Journalism degree from the University of Kansas in 1988.

She is admitted to the Missouri and Kansas bars and is a member of the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association, Missouri Bar Association, Kansas Bar Association, and Clay County Bar Association.

She is a 2006 graduate of the KCMBA Leadership Academy and received the KCMBA President's Award in 2009. She has volunteered as a Better Business Bureau arbitrator for over 10 years.
