Carrie Mendrick Roane, Esq. is a Shareholder at Fasig | Brooks Law Offices, where she specializes in civil litigation, including medical malpractice, birth injuries, defective and dangerous products, professional liability, and slip-and-fall accidents. She is a former defense attorney who spent her initial 15 years as a defense litigator in Tallahassee before joining Fasig | Brooks in 2016 — experience that gives her insight into how insurance companies work and how to beat them.
Born and raised in Ft. Myers, Florida, Roane was the first in her family to graduate from college. Beyond her legal practice, she serves as director of SouthWood Gives Back and on the board of directors for the Tallahassee-Leon County Shelter.
Roane earned her J.D. magna cum laude from the University of Miami School of Law in 1999, where she was a member of the University of Miami Law Review and was inducted into the Order of the Coif (top 10% of class); she completed her third year at Georgetown University Law Center. She earned her B.A. in Philosophy with honors from Florida State University in 1996. She is admitted to the Florida Bar.
