About Chad Florin

Chad K. Florin was born and raised in Pinellas County, Florida, and attended East Lake High School. He received his B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Central Florida and later worked as a financial professional with AXA Advisors, obtaining Series 7 and Series 66 securities licenses, before attending law school. He earned his J.D. and the rarely awarded post-doctoral LL.M. in Advocacy from Stetson University College of Law in 2015. While at Stetson, Chad was a member of the nationally ranked mock trial team, a finalist in the 2014 AAJ National Student Trial Advocacy Competition, and was selected to represent Stetson at the Top Gun Trial Competition. He also served as a teaching assistant for trial advocacy under the Honorable David A. Demers. Chad is a member of the Florida Bar, the Minnesota Bar, and the Texas Bar, and is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado. His 2018 $7.6 million jury verdict in a premises liability case was ranked by Top Verdict as the largest Dangerous Condition verdict in Florida that year. At age 18, he earned his third-degree black belt in Isshinryu karate, the youngest person to do so in North America.
