Robert Markel

Robert E. Markel is a Senior Attorney at Frank Azar Car & Truck Accident Lawyers (Franklin D. Azar & Associates) in Colorado, with more than 25 years at the firm. In addition to motor vehicle accidents, he has handled nursing home neglect, premises liability, Fair Labor Standards Act, Federal Tort Claims Act, Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, and bankruptcy cases.

Markel has obtained over $60 million in settlements and verdicts for his clients, including a recovery of over $4 million for a client seriously injured by a defective seat belt following a collision caused by an inebriated driver.

He earned his J.D. from the University of Colorado Law School in 1982 and his undergraduate degree from Colorado College in 1979, where he received the 'Best Student in Economics' award.
