Geoff McDonald

Geoff McDonald is the CEO and President of Geoff McDonald & Associates, P.C., a Virginia personal injury law firm with offices in Richmond and Virginia Beach. Geoff has obtained more than $400 million in settlements and awards for clients in personal injury, workers' compensation, and Social Security disability cases, including a $38.2 million settlement in 2020 — the largest in Virginia that year. He has tried cases resulting in more than 200 written opinions, including 46 Court of Appeals or Workers' Compensation Commission opinions, several of which have shaped Virginia case law. Geoff earned his B.A. in history and foreign affairs from the University of Virginia in 1986 and his Juris Doctor from the University of Richmond, T.C. Williams School of Law in 1989. He attended the University of Hawaii for three years on a football scholarship before transferring to UVA, where he played for George Welsh and was a member of the 1984 Peach Bowl championship team.
