Richard Reed is an attorney with George Sink Injury Lawyers, with more than 13 years of legal experience since 2011. He managed his own successful personal injury practice for over a decade before joining George Sink. Earlier in his career, he spent approximately seven years as an associate at a large insurance defense firm, representing retailers, insurers, contractors, and auto manufacturers, and completed clerkships with the U.S. Department of Justice Civil Division and the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania.
Reed earned his Bachelor of Arts from George Mason University in 1999 and his Juris Doctor from Pennsylvania State University Dickinson School of Law in 2003, where he served as Notes Editor on the Dickinson Law Review.
He is admitted to practice in South Carolina, Virginia, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. He has successfully argued appeals before the Virginia Supreme Court and Court of Appeals.
In 2020, Reed obtained one of the top ten largest settlements in Virginia for that year in a medical malpractice matter. He serves as a guest instructor at continuing legal education seminars on personal injury and workers' compensation law and is an Eagle Scout.
