Sandy Bohrer

Sandy Bohrer is a highly skilled trial lawyer and legal scholar who joined Grossman Yaffa Cohen in an Of Counsel capacity after serving as a partner at Holland and Knight for 25 years, where he co-chaired the firm's media law practice and led its Miami litigation department. He has served as Lead Counsel in approximately 100 appeals and represented Royal Caribbean Cruises in all major litigation for 20 years, including employee and passenger class actions. He has also represented The Miami Herald and Miami New Times for decades and advised dozens of publishers, authors, and broadcasters across the full spectrum of media law. Sandy currently serves as a Lecturer at the University of Miami's School of Communication, teaching courses including Children and the Media and Hate, The Media, and Free Speech. He has been recognized in The Best Lawyers in America in five separate categories and was selected as Best Lawyers' Lawyer of the Year in First Amendment Law in 2018.
