Prior to joining his current firm, Hartnett spent 42 years practicing law at Crary, Huff, Ringenberg, Hartnett & Storm, PC in Sioux City, where he served as partner, managing partner, and chair of the Civil Litigation Department. His practice focused exclusively on civil litigation. He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Nebraska Lincoln in 1981 and his Bachelor's Degree from the University of Nebraska Lincoln in 1978.
