About John Spade
John R. Spade is a Texas native who has called Alabama home for more than twenty years. He earned a B.A. in Economics from Auburn University in 2011 and a J.D. from Cumberland School of Law in 2015, where he was a four-time member of Cumberland's national trial team, a Scholar of Merit in Pre-Trial Practice and Procedure, and an articles editor for the American Journal of Trial Advocacy. He joined Hollis Wright directly from law school and has exclusively represented injured plaintiffs throughout his career. Spade's practice spans commercial and motor vehicle collisions, dram shop liability, construction and premises liability, insurance bad faith, prescription errors, products liability, and wrongful death. He handles cases primarily in Alabama and throughout the Southeast. He is recognized by The National Trial Lawyers as a Top 40 Under 40 attorney, has received Super Lawyers Rising Star recognition, and is listed in Best Lawyers' Top Attorneys in the Mid-South Rising Stars.
