Michael Akiva

Michael A. Akiva is Managing Partner of Pre-Litigation at Jacoby & Meyers, based in the Los Angeles office. He has 20 years of experience handling motor vehicle crashes, premises liability, and construction site accident cases.

Akiva earned his Juris Doctor from UCLA School of Law, where he served as Editor of the UCLA Law Review, and his Bachelor of Science in Finance magna cum laude from the University of Southern California. He has been admitted to all California state courts since 2006.

Akiva joined the firm in June 2009 and became Managing Partner of Pre-Litigation in November 2018. He is recognized as a Super Lawyer and is fluent in Spanish and Hebrew. He is a member of the California Bar, Los Angeles County Bar Association, National Association of Personal Injury Lawyers, and Consumer Attorneys of California.
