About Thomas C. Mayes Jr.
Thomas C. Mayes Jr. earned his J.D. from Southern Methodist University's Dedman School of Law, where he served on the Student Bar Association and as vice president of the Health Law Association, and earned the highest grade in Wills & Trusts. Before law school, Thomas spent 10 years as a lobbyist and local government official, representing 60 counties, cities, housing authorities, and a university, and advocating for environmental and public health priorities in Austin and Washington D.C. Prior to joining Jim Adler & Associates, he worked at a personal injury firm managing a docket of 100 cases, specializing in premises liability and routinely obtaining six-figure settlements in slip-and-fall cases. His legal background also includes multi-district litigation. Thomas is licensed to practice law in Texas and is a member of the State Bar of Texas.
