About Michael Babanikas

Attorney Babanikas is a litigation and trial lawyer in the Tort Department at Keches Law Group. He represents victims of catastrophic injuries resulting from construction and property accidents, auto and bike accidents, product liability, medical malpractice, and class actions. Attorney Babanikas joined Keches Law Group in May of 2022, as a law clerk under the tutelage and guidance of Managing Partner Jeffrey Catalano. He continues to assist Attorney Catalano in representing people who have suffered a horrific injury or loss in order to bring them justice and accountability. Attorney Babanikas is the youngest attorney at Keches Law Group to have brought a case to trial. In December of 2024, three weeks after being sworn in as an attorney, he tried his first case in Norfolk Superior Court, obtaining a verdict in favor of his client after a two-week trial. His passion is advocating for victims’ rights and holding accountable those whose negligence threatens their rights. Attorney Babanikas graduated from Thayer Academy (2017) with the distinction of a Global Scholar for his efforts in providing community service and relief in Costa Rica, as well as being a voice for the Syrian Refugee Crisis in organizing and hosting a symposium as a call for support and relief. He then attended Trinity College (B.A. 2021). During his time at Thayer and Trinity, Attorney Babanikas worked as a Legislative Intern to Ambassador Claire Cronin, while she was the House Chair of the Joint Committee on the Judiciary, in the Massachusetts Legislature. Driven by a passion for the advocacy of others, Attorney Babanikas attended law school after college and graduated Cum Laude from New England Law | Boston (2024). While in law school, Attorney Babanikas dedicated himself to developing and honing his litigation skills. He was a 3-year member and captain of the PAD Mock Trial Team at New England Law. During his law school career, he competed all three years at a national competition, receiving nominations for “Best Attorney” all three years. Attorney Babanikas now has the honor of coaching the PAD Mock Trial Program at New England Law | Boston. In this role, he has the humbling opportunity to teach trial advocacy to current law students and assist them in their development of their litigation skills. Under his leadership, two of the program’s teams received the distinctions of 1 st Place Finalists and 2 nd Place at this national competition. Through this program, he has had the opportunity to assist in the growth of several current Keches Law Group law clerks. Most importantly to him, Attorney Babanikas is a proud Greek-American. His Hellenic culture and Greek Orthodox Christian faith serve as the cornerstones of his identity and his passion for advocating for justice to individuals who have been wronged. Attorney Babanikas grew up in Easton, Massachusetts, as a child of a Greek family. His upbringing was centered around the Greek value of φιλότιμο. This translates to the “love of honor.” Φιλότιμο represents a deep-seated, selfless commitment to doing the right thing, encompassing duty, dignity, and kindness, without expecting reward. He strives to embrace these values in all he does. Michael is also an avid sports fan, particularly football and baseball, which he played at competitive levels. During his free time, he enjoys fishing, golfing, skiing, and playing chess. Most importantly, Michael loves to spend time with his family, friends, and his puppy Argo.
