About Conor Lamb

Conor Lamb is a former U.S. congressman who served as a prosecutor in the Marines and U.S. Department of Justice. He works from the firm's Philadelphia and Pittsburgh offices. Lamb represented Pennsylvania's 17th Congressional District, winning a special election in 2018 and two subsequent full terms covering Beaver County and parts of Allegheny and Butler counties. He served on House committees addressing Science, Space and Technology; Veterans Affairs; and Transportation and Infrastructure. In 2022, he pursued a U.S. Senate seat but finished second in the Democratic primary to John Fetterman. Previously, Lamb worked as a prosecutor for the U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Pennsylvania following a federal judge clerkship in New York. His office achieved "highly publicized convictions" and led nationally in combating opioid trafficking. He dismantled heroin organizations, securing guilty verdicts against "Uptown" crew members and out-of-state suppliers, plus convictions involving firearms trafficking, violent crimes, and illegal prescription drug distribution. As a Marine judge advocate (2009-2017, active duty and reserves, retiring as major), Lamb prosecuted general courts-martial for rape and sexual assault, assisting in a high-profile Naval Academy instructor conviction involving sexual misconduct investigation perjury. Lamb earned the James J. Manderino Award for Trial Advocacy at University of Pennsylvania. Military honors include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with two gold stars, Sea Service Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal, and Global War on Terrorism Service Medal. His family includes grandfather Thomas F. Lamb, Pennsylvania Senate Democratic majority leader, and uncle Michael Lamb, Pittsburgh city controller since 2008.
