Jaclyn Crittenden

Jaclyn E. Crittenden serves as part of Kline & Specter's intake and consultation team, functioning as the initial point of contact for injured individuals and families seeking legal assistance during vulnerable moments. She handles various civil matters including catastrophic injuries and wrongful death cases arising from birth injuries, medical malpractice, motor vehicle accidents, and product liability claims. Recently, Crittenden worked on litigation involving the Sorin 3T Heating/Cooling Unit, a medical device used in open-heart surgeries. The firm filed lawsuits alleging design and manufacturing defects caused patient deaths. Before joining Kline & Specter, Crittenden worked as an E-discovery attorney at several large Philadelphia firms, where she reviewed, coded, redacted and created privilege logs for discovery documents in complex commercial litigation, employment discrimination, product liability (pharmaceuticals and aerospace), intellectual property/patent infringement, and high-profile defamation cases. She served as of counsel for a Philadelphia bankruptcy firm and drafted numerous publications on insurance law as a staff writer for Westlaw Next. Her prior experience also includes anti-money laundering compliance work at two large financial institutions. During law school, Crittenden clerked as a summer law clerk for Judge Nathaniel C. Nichols in the Delaware County Court of Common Pleas and interned for the Delaware Office of the Public Defender. Crittenden maintains extensive volunteer involvement, including pro bono work for a Philadelphia citizenship campaign, volunteer service with Faithful Friends Animal Society, pet therapy committee participation and leadership at a Delaware nursing home, mentorship through the YMCA Black Achievers Youth in Government program, intake volunteering for Delaware Volunteer Legal Services Legal Help Link, and participation as a big sister with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Richmond, Virginia.
