Julia Thompson

Julia Thompson honed her litigation skills as an assistant public defender in Miami for three years before moving to Colorado in 1995. She entered private medical malpractice practice with Larry Schoenwald, an established Colorado medical negligence attorney, and joined Leventhal Puga Braley P.C. in June 2018. Julia was on the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association Board of Directors from 2000 to 2025, serving as Co-Chair of its Medical Malpractice Committee from 2013 to 2019, and served as Vice President of the Colorado Women's Bar Association. She holds a J.D. cum laude from Boston College Law School (1992), where she received the Susan G. Desmarais Award, and a B.A. from Haverford College (1987). Martindale-Hubbell has given her an AV Preeminent 5-out-of-5 rating, and she has been selected to Colorado Super Lawyers since 2012.
