Lesley Lorenz

Lesley Lorenz is a Founder and Attorney at Lorenz & Lorenz Accident & Injury Lawyers in Austin, Texas, a firm she co-founded with her husband Ted Lorenz. She represents plaintiffs in personal injury matters with a primary focus on auto and truck accident cases.

Before joining her husband in practice, Lorenz served as an Assistant District Attorney in Dallas County, where she developed substantial trial experience, and then transitioned to plaintiffs' personal injury work at a Dallas-based firm. She is a Fellow of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association and a member of the American Association for Justice and the State Bar of Texas College.

Lorenz is the founder and chairperson of the University of Texas School of Law Department of Continuing Legal Education's Car Crash Seminar — a leading CLE program for plaintiffs' attorneys representing accident victims. She served as co-chair in 2004 and again in 2005–2006, and has chaired the planning committee since 2007. She is a frequent CLE author and speaker, with published works including 'Rainmaking,' 'Understanding and Analyzing Medical Records,' 'Maximizing Car Wreck Case Value with Medical Records,' and 'Back to the Basics: Making Adjusters Pay.'

Lorenz has been honored with the National Women Trial Lawyers Top 25 (2018) and was recognized as a Texas Super Lawyers Rising Star in 2009 and 2010. She earned her B.A. from Purdue University in 1997 with majors in Public Communication and minors in History and English, and her J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center in 2000, where she received the Mark Vela Scholarship, was a finalist in the Hippard Mock Trial Competition, and won the Hofheinz Tournament of Champions. She is licensed in Texas and Colorado.
