Rebecca Britton serves Of Counsel at Maginnis Howard in the firm's Fayetteville, North Carolina office. Her practice focuses on personal injury, wrongful death, motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, and medical malpractice cases.
With over 30 years of hands-on experience litigating and trying personal injury and wrongful death cases, she has advocated for injured individuals throughout North Carolina for more than 25 years. She is a trained and certified mediator and has served as an arbitrator in Uninsured and Underinsured Motorists Arbitrations.
Britton earned her B.A. from the University of Maine at Presque Isle in 1989 and her Juris Doctor from Campbell University Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law in 1992.
She is admitted to the North Carolina State Bar (1992), the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina (1992), the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of North Carolina (1995), the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit (1995), and the U.S. Supreme Court (1996).
She has been a member of the North Carolina Advocates for Justice since 1992 and served as its President from 2006 to 2007. She also serves as President of the North Carolina Mock Trial Program (2018-present), is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (2018-present), and the International Society of Barristers (2019-present).
