About James Young
James Young spent a decade as Special Counsel to three Florida Attorneys General before joining Morgan & Morgan's complex litigation unit in Jacksonville in 2013, where he built and now heads the firm's Public Client practice representing governments in opioid, tobacco, emissions, and environmental litigation. He filed one of the first opioid cases against drug distributors and was appointed to the Plaintiffs' Executive Committee of the national opioid MDL, later expanding the litigation to include consulting giant McKinsey & Company. Earlier he co-led the Risperdal multi-state investigation — the largest consumer protection drug settlement to date — and Law360 named him an MVP in Product Liability for 2021.
