About Hunter Norton
Hunter Norton is a trial attorney with Panish | Shea | Ravipudi LLP, specializing in representing individuals who have been victims of serious wrongdoing. His practice includes litigating catastrophic personal injury, wrongful death, aviation, mass tort, and products liability cases throughout California and Nevada. Since joining the firm in 2022, Mr. Norton has helped recover in excess of $360 million in verdicts, settlements, and awards for injured clients. Most recently, he and firm partners Jesse Creed and Spencer Lucas obtained a landmark $59,250,000 jury verdict for plaintiff Donna Motsinger in her civil action against William "Bill" Cosby, Jr., finding the former comedian and actor liable for sexually assaulting her in 1972. Mr. Norton also recently obtained a $31 million settlement for a former high school football player who suffered a traumatic brain injury as a result of a negligently maintained field by the Newport-Mesa Unified School District. As a result of his work on this matter, Mr. Norton was recognized with the 2025 California Lawyer Attorney of the Year (CLAY) Award. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Norton was an attorney at top international law firm Kirkland & Ellis where he focused his practice on litigating large scale product liability cases. He was among the first attorneys to participate in groundbreaking bellwether trials in the largest multi-district litigation in history and fought to, and successfully did, secure favorable verdicts for his clients, some of which were recognized by The American Lawyer. Mr. Norton has now taken the same skills, passion, and experience he used to defend Fortune 500 clients to the other side of the bar and dedicated his practice to fight for consumers and individuals who have been wrongfully harmed. Mr. Norton received his J.D. and graduated magna cum laude from Duke University School of Law. While attending law school, he was a member of the mock trial team and focused his studies on developing trial advocacy and litigation skills to serve him once he became an attorney. Prior to that, Mr. Norton graduated magna cum laude from the University of Missouri, with a degree in Political Science. During college, he also served as a congressional intern to a U.S. Senator and was a judicial intern for U.S. District Court Judge Roseann Ketchmark in the Western District of Missouri. Originally a native of Kansas City, Missouri, Mr. Norton now resides in Los Angeles and is a member of the State Bar of California and the State Bar of Nevada. Some of Mr. Norton's professional activities include serving as a member of the Executive Committee of the Litigation Section of the Los Angeles County Bar Association (LACBA), and as the Publications Chair of the New Lawyers Division of the Consumers Attorneys of California (CAOC). Mr. Norton is also an active member of the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles (CAALA) and the American Association of Justice (AAJ). In his free time, he enjoys live music, exploring new places, reading spy novels, and rooting for the Kansas City Chiefs.
