About Stephen Rosenthal
Stephen Rosenthal handles civil cases across widely divergent fields and industries at the trial level and on appeal, on either side of a dispute. He has been described by a legal publication as 'the rare jack-of-all-trades who actually masters them all.' Stephen is admitted to practice in Florida and the District of Columbia. He is deeply committed to social justice: he serves on the Executive Committee of the Board of Legal Services of Greater Miami, has partnered with the ACLU on landmark marriage equality litigation in Florida, and advises on voting rights litigation. Among his notable results, he achieved a $7.5 million federal jury verdict as lead trial counsel in a breach-of-contract counterclaim against a Chinese manufacturer, producing a $20 million net victory for the client; successfully reversed a $51 million bad-faith summary judgment in the Eleventh Circuit; and has defended major Spanish-language broadcasters in defamation cases at trial and on appeal.
