Richard A. Harris is the founding partner of the Richard Harris Personal Injury Law Firm, Nevada's largest and one of its oldest personal injury practices. He has practiced since 1980 and established the firm in 1982, with over 40 years of legal experience.
Harris's practice has included mass tort litigation involving defective medical devices and pharmaceuticals such as DePuy Hip Prostheses, Xarelto, Talcum Powder, and Hepatitis C outbreak cases. He earlier served as a law clerk intern to Nevada Supreme Court Chief Justice John Mowbray. He earned his Juris Doctor in 1980 from the University of the Pacific McGeorge School of Law (Best Oral Advocate finalist; Moot Court Honors Board), an LL.M. in Dispute Resolution from Pepperdine University School of Law in 2009, and his Bachelor's in Communications cum laude from Brigham Young University.
Harris is a Board Certified Personal Injury Specialist and has received the Nevada Justice Association Lifetime Achievement Award (2016) and the Badger Award for community service (2010). He serves on the Nevada Justice Association Board of Governors.
