John Houlihan Jr.

John J. Houlihan, Jr. has spent more than three decades at RisCassi & Davis, P.C., where he began as a summer intern in 1979 and was appointed Managing Partner in 1994. Throughout his career, he has secured millions of dollars in verdicts and settlements for injured clients, including an $8.1 million verdict in a medical malpractice case involving an improperly performed biopsy, a $7.2 million settlement for a child who suffered brain damage during surgery, and a $7.2 million verdict in a wrongful death case involving a DOT supervisor killed on the job. He handles automobile accidents, motorcycle accidents, medical malpractice, and defective product cases. He has been recognized by Best Lawyers as 'Lawyer of the Year' in 2018 and 2024 for Personal Injury Litigation (Plaintiffs) and in 2025 for Product Liability Litigation (Plaintiffs). He is a Fellow of the International Academy of Trial Lawyers and a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, and has served as an adjunct faculty member at the University of Connecticut School of Law since 1988.
