About Scott Vezina

Scott Vezina concentrates his practice on representing individuals who have suffered catastrophic brain or spinal cord injuries caused by medical negligence and product defects. He is a licensed pilot who also represents victims of aviation accidents and complex product liability cases. His results as co-lead or co-counsel include a $78.5 million verdict in a Philadelphia cerebral palsy case; a $32.5 million settlement (a Pennsylvania record) for a cerebral palsy case involving a brain injury at birth; a $30.5 million verdict in a Georgia cerebral palsy case; and a $26 million verdict in Luzerne County for a man who lost his right leg above the knee due to medical malpractice. He has also secured significant confidential settlements in multiple aviation crash cases. Before becoming a plaintiff's attorney, Vezina represented medical malpractice insurers, hospital chains, physician groups, and medical device companies. He served as Special Assistant Attorney General for Louisiana from 1997 to 2004 and has been an adjunct professor in Torts at Regent University School of Law and St. Thomas University School of Law.
