David Farias

David Thomas Farias is an Associate Attorney at Sandoval & James Law Firm in Austin, Texas, where he joined in 2022 immediately upon licensure and began litigation work representing injured clients across the state. In 2024, alongside firm co-founder Ben James, he launched the firm's Bad Faith Unit, which focuses on cases where insurance companies act in bad faith during claims handling and negotiations.

Farias is a first-generation college graduate and attorney. He earned his J.D. from St. Mary's University School of Law in San Antonio, Texas, where he served as a staff writer on the law journal, competed on the mock trial team, and worked as a student attorney at the St. Mary's Center for Legal and Social Justice.

Farias is fluent in Spanish and is a member of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association, the Austin Bar Association, and the Hispanic Bar Association of Austin. Outside the practice, he is classically trained in mariachi music.
