Background

Esteban Sandoval is the Founder and Managing Partner of Sandoval & James Law Firm in Austin, Texas, which he co-founded with Benedict V. James in 2016. He heads the firm's pre-litigation personal injury department and represents clients across Texas in motor vehicle, wrongful death, and catastrophic injury matters. A first-generation Mexican American, Sandoval was born in Ciudad JuÃ¡rez, Mexico, and immigrated to El Paso, Texas, with his family at age three. He discovered his calling to plaintiffs' work while working for a personal injury attorney during his undergraduate studies. He is fully bilingual in English and Spanish. Sandoval has been recognized by the National Trial Lawyers Top 40 Under 40, named American Institute of Legal Professionals' Lawyer of the Year (2023), included on the American Academy of Attorneys' Texas Top 100 list, and named Texas Litigator of the Year by the American Institute of Trial Lawyers. He is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum and Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum, both of which require qualifying multi-million-dollar client recoveries. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association and is a member of the Capital Area Trial Lawyers Association. Sandoval earned his B.A. in Government with a minor in Spanish from the University of Texas at Austin and his J.D. from the William S. Boyd School of Law at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. In addition to his personal injury practice, he handles immigration matters drawing on his own family's path to U.S. residency.
