About Kay Fuhlman
Kay Fuhlman is a dedicated personal injury and civil rights attorney with Seattle Injury Law, where she fights for injured people and working families who have been harmed by the negligence or wrongdoing of others. A lifelong Washingtonian, Kay brings to every case a deep-rooted commitment to her community and a genuine belief that the legal system should work for ordinary people, not against them. Clients who turn to her during some of the most difficult moments of their lives find an advocate who is as compassionate as she is tenacious.
Kay's path to personal injury law was forged through a career spent standing up for those whose voices are too often overlooked. She earned both her undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Washington, and while in law school she devoted herself to defending workers' rights through the Ronald A. Peterson Workers' Rights Clinic. That early, hands-on advocacy shaped the lawyer she is today. She went on to clerk for a private workers' rights firm and served as a Rule 9 Law Clerk for the Washington State Attorney General's Office in the Labor and Industries division, where, during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, she played a crucial role in securing unemployment benefits for workers who had been wrongly denied them.
Before joining Seattle Injury Law, Kay practiced at a civil rights and employment law firm, taking on litigation matters that demanded both legal precision and unwavering resolve. That background gives her a powerful perspective in personal injury cases: she understands how individuals can be left behind by powerful institutions, and she knows how to hold those institutions accountable. Whether her client has been hurt in a serious accident or wronged on the job, Kay approaches each matter with meticulous preparation and a determination to pursue every avenue of recovery.
What truly sets Kay apart is how she sees her role. She describes herself not simply as a lawyer, but as a partner and advisor to her clients, walking alongside them through every stage of their case. Colleagues and clients alike recognize her for the empathy she extends to the people she serves and the formidable advocacy she brings to the table when facing opposing counsel. She listens closely, explains clearly, and never loses sight of the human being behind the case.
Born and raised in Washington State, Kay is proud to call Seattle home. When she is not advocating for her clients, she enjoys exploring the city's vibrant food scene with her wife and hosting family dinners and game nights. For injured clients seeking an attorney who combines heart, grit, and a lifelong dedication to justice, Kay Fuhlman is a trusted and passionate ally.
