About Peter Heed
Peter Heed is Of Counsel to Shaheen and Gordon's Keene office with more than 45 years of trial attorney experience. He grew up in Chester County, Pennsylvania and came to New Hampshire to attend Dartmouth College, graduating in 1972. He then earned his J.D. from Cornell University in 1975 and was admitted to the New Hampshire bar that same year. He began his career as a homicide prosecutor with the criminal division of the NH Attorney General's Office, then spent years in private practice at a Keene firm focused on criminal and civil litigation. He was elected Cheshire County Attorney and served as Chief Prosecutor from 2000 to 2003, then served as New Hampshire Attorney General from 2003 to 2004. He rejoined private practice in 2012 as Of Counsel to Bragdon, Baron and Kossayda, P.C. and joined Shaheen and Gordon when that firm partnered in 2025.
