
About John Davis
John R. Davis leads the firm's class action and whistleblower practices. He has spent most of his career working in or litigating before U.S. Federal Courts, focusing on complex litigation with particular emphasis on consumer fraud, healthcare fraud, antitrust, environmental, and insurance matters. Before joining Slack Davis, John clerked for two federal district court judges in the Middle District of Alabama and then spent three years at a prominent class action and environmental law firm in New Orleans, where he developed expertise in pharmaceutical antitrust class actions, RICO class actions, and environmental natural resource damages litigation. He is licensed in Texas, California, Louisiana, and Alabama. John was named a Texas Super Lawyers Rising Star in Class Action/Mass Torts from 2018 through 2022. He served as court-appointed class counsel in Grigson v. Farmers Group, Inc., a federal class action alleging premium discrimination against approximately 700,000 policyholders that settled for $52 million in June 2020. He was also appointed to the Plaintiffs' Executive Committee in the Valsartan Products Liability Litigation, MDL No. 2875, involving contaminated blood pressure medications taken by millions of Americans.
