Ramona Howard

Along the way to becoming an attorney I had the honor of working hard in a number of part time jobs and learning a lot about people while paying my way through undergraduate and law school. This is going to sound so cliché, but when I was in the eighth grade I read To Kill a Mockingbird and later saw the movie with Gregory Peck. This book gave me my first glimpse into the awful realty that justice is not always blind and that right does not always win. However, it also showed the importance of having people, like Atticus Finch, who are willing to fight for those things. I wanted to be a person like that. Thus, despite the fact that no one in my family was a lawyer, and I did not personally know any lawyers, my path was set. Ramona Howard focuses her practice with Sommers Schwartz on appeals. As part of her appellate work, Ramona prepares and argues cases before various State and Federal Appellate Courts. Ramona was born and raised in the Metro Detroit area.
