About Mary Tenn

Mary Elizabeth Tenn joined Tenn And Tenn, PA in 2001. Her practice covers personal injury, domestic relations, and complex commercial litigation in New Hampshire, representing both corporations and individual clients. Mary has achieved multi-million dollar verdicts and settlements for personal injury clients. She is admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in New Hampshire and Massachusetts and in the United States Supreme Court. Prior to joining the firm, Mary worked as a litigation attorney at Hale and Dorr LLP (now WilmerHale) in Boston and served as a Special Assistant District Attorney for Middlesex County, Massachusetts. Mary received her J.D., cum laude, from Harvard Law School, where she served as Co-Chairperson of the Tenant Advocacy Project and as an editor of the Harvard Civil Rights Civil Liberties Law Review. She received her B.A., summa cum laude, from Boston College, where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. Mary is a past President of the New Hampshire Bar Association (2015-2016) and a past President of the Manchester Bar Association. She currently serves as Chair of the New Hampshire Board of Bar Examiners, appointed by the New Hampshire Supreme Court. She is also State Chair for New Hampshire for the Fellows of the American Bar Foundation and a member of the Board of Advisors for the Warren B. Rudman Center for Justice, Leadership and Public Policy. In 2005, Mary received the prestigious Robert E. Kirby Award from the New Hampshire Bar Foundation. She is a frequent trial advisor for the Trial Advocacy Workshop at Harvard Law School and a judge for the Harvard Law School First-Year Moot Court Program. New Hampshire Magazine named her Best Lawyer in Family Law in 2016, and Business NH Magazine selected her as New Hampshire's top attorney in Family Law in 2015 and 2012.
