Background
William G. 'Bill' Rossick is a Partner and trial attorney at The Carlson Law Firm's North Austin office, joining the firm in June 2020. A talented trial lawyer and certified mediator, Bill has worked and tried cases on both sides of the docket since 1994, also appearing in single cases in New York, Pennsylvania, Illinois, California, Colorado and New Mexico. His focus includes wildfire claims, wrongful death, medical malpractice, traumatic brain injury, 18-wheeler collisions, sexual assault victims, and human trafficking. In 2011, Bill became the first lawyer to initiate litigation on behalf of a family whose home was destroyed in the Bastrop County Complex Fire, which grew to be the largest lawsuit ever filed in Bastrop County. Before law school, he served five years on active duty in the U.S. Army Aviation Branch (1985-1990), attaining the rank of Captain. From 1996 to 1999, he practiced at Shook, Hardy & Bacon defending pharmaceutical cases. In 2010, he co-founded Putonti, Escover and Rossick.
