About Christopher Layton

Christopher D. Layton is the founder and lead attorney of The Layton Law Firm in Charlotte, North Carolina. He earned a B.A. in Journalism from the University of Maryland at College Park (1990-1994) and a J.D. from Wake Forest University School of Law (1997-2000). He has been practicing law in Charlotte since his admission to the North Carolina State Bar in 2000 and is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Western District of North Carolina (2012) and the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of North Carolina (2019). Chris focuses on plaintiff-side personal injury cases, including car accidents, truck accidents, motorcycle accidents, pedestrian accidents, slip-and-fall claims, and wrongful death actions, as well as bankruptcy and real estate matters.
