About Laura Johnson Bailey
Laura Johnson Bailey serves as director of litigation at Mabra Law. She began her legal career on the defense side, spending 12 years representing insurance companies, private corporations, and state agencies in cases ranging from workers' compensation and employment discrimination to catastrophic injury and wrongful death. That background gave her an insider understanding of how insurers evaluate and defend claims. In 2017 she switched to the plaintiff side, joining one of the nation's largest personal injury firms before moving to Mabra Law in 2020. She has tried more than 90 jury trials throughout her career and has secured six published appellate opinions, including matters of first impression in Georgia. She earned her bachelor's degree from the University of Alabama and her J.D. from Florida State University College of Law, where she also earned a Certificate of Comparative International Law from Oxford University.
