Rich Hood

Rich Hood is a Mass Torts Attorney at The Wilhite Law Firm in Colorado, with over 18 years in complex litigation. He specializes in product liability, pharmaceutical cases, and medical device mass torts with national practice scope.

Hood was judicially appointed to plaintiffs' leadership in federal multidistrict litigations (Mirena IUS, Hydroxycut, transvaginal mesh cases) and as Court-appointed eDiscovery Liaison in high-profile federal cases. He is a contributing editor for The Sedona Conference publications on electronic discovery and cross-border data protection.

Before his legal career, Hood served as Senior Instructor and Course Developer at the U.S. Army's John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center, training Civil Affairs and Military Governance officers. He held leadership positions across Southeast Asia, East Africa, Eastern Europe, and Korea as an infantryman and civil affairs officer.

Hood earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law and his Bachelor of Arts in Cross-Cultural Communications from Metropolitan State University of Denver.

He is admitted to the Colorado State Bar (No. 38565), U.S. Supreme Court, multiple U.S. District Courts (California, Colorado, Louisiana, New York, Pennsylvania), and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit.
