About Brett Schwartz

Brett Schwartz was born in Omaha, Nebraska and grew up in Lawrenceville, Georgia. He graduated from the University of Georgia's Franklin College of Arts and Sciences with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English with a minor in History, earning a place on the Dean's List. He received his J.D., magna cum laude, from Mercer University's Walter F. George School of Law in Macon, Georgia in 2014, where he received a merit scholarship, appeared on the Dean's List for five semesters, and completed the Certificate in Advanced Legal Writing, Research, and Drafting. Upon graduation, he was inducted into the Brainerd Currie Honor Society. As a law student, Brett served as a Mentor in the Academic Success Program, earned CALI awards in several courses, and was elected Articles Editor of the Mercer Law Review (Winter 2014, Volume 65, Number 2). He also participated in the Mercer Habeas Project, working on pro se post-conviction appeals before the Georgia Supreme Court and the Eleventh Circuit. After graduating in 2014, Brett moved to the Las Vegas area and has practiced civil litigation ever since, trying several jury trials in both District and Federal Court and representing hundreds of clients.
