About Andrew Wainwright
Andrew S. Wainwright is a Thornton Law Firm partner and trial attorney who manages the firm's asbestos trial practice. He has successfully litigated hundreds of asbestos cases in Massachusetts Superior Court and has argued cases before the Massachusetts Appeals Court and the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court. He graduated from Hobart College with a B.A. in Philosophy and received his J.D. from Suffolk University cum laude in 1991. He is admitted to practice in Massachusetts, New York, the U.S. District Court of Massachusetts, and the U.S. First Circuit Court of Appeals. In 2017 he tried and won two of the top three jury verdicts in Massachusetts: a $7.5 million award in Sylvestre v. New England Insulation and a $6.8 million award in Ross v. New England Insulation. He has been named to Best Lawyers in America since 2021 for Mass Tort Litigation/Class Actions and is AV Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Rated.
