Charles Vaughan

Charles V. Vaughan, known as Charley, is the Managing Attorney and Owner of Vaughan & Vaughan, a third-generation Indiana personal injury firm founded in 1913 by his grandfather, Charles L. Vaughan. He has practiced law for nearly four decades, concentrating on serious personal injury cases as well as Condemnation and Probate Law.

Vaughan is board-certified in Civil Trial Law (since 2001) and Civil Practice Advocacy (since 2012) by the National Board of Trial Advocacy - a distinction held by only a small number of Indiana lawyers. He has been repeatedly named an Indiana Super Lawyer by Indianapolis Monthly and listed in The Best Lawyers in America for personal injury litigation. He is a member of the National Academy of Personal Injury Attorneys and has received the My Legal Win Top Attorneys in America recognition.

Vaughan & Vaughan served as counsel in the landmark Ryan White case in the 1980s, in which Charles V. Vaughan and his father, Charles R. Vaughan, fought for Ryan White's rights against discrimination after his AIDS diagnosis at an Indiana school. The firm operates offices in Indianapolis, Lafayette, Anderson, Muncie, Carmel, Kokomo, and Evansville.
