Laura Swafford

Laura W. Swafford is a Partner at Wagner Reese, LLP in Carmel, Indiana, where she represents individuals and families in personal injury, wrongful death, and civil rights cases. She grew up in Carmel.

Before joining Wagner Reese, Swafford was a litigator at an Indianapolis defense firm, where she handled cases involving catastrophic injuries, employment discrimination, and civil rights violations.

She earned her J.D. cum laude from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 2015, where she was a member of the Dean's Tutorial Society, President of the Student Bar Association, and an Executive Member of the Indiana International & Comparative Law Review. She earned her B.S. in Public Affairs with a concentration in Legal Studies from Indiana University in 2012.

Swafford has been named an Indiana Super Lawyers Rising Star from 2019 through 2023, listed in Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch (2021, 2022), and selected as a Top 40 Under 40 Civil Plaintiffs Lawyer in Indiana (2022).
